Again, 55DSL is challenging devotees and designers to stretch their creativity and reinterpret the brand’s iconic angel/shield emblem during its 2008 Logo Remix Challenge. The Grand Prize winner’s redesign will be featured in 55DSL’s 2010 spring/summer 10.55 limited edition collection in collaboration with international artists and designers. The winning designer will also receive a cash prize of 1,055 € (about $1,321). The looming deadline for entries is Friday, December 5th.

Good Afternoon All.
I hope that your weekend & your extend weekend, if your home today for the Columbus Day holiday went as planned.
On saturday I was one of at least 5000 people that attended Diesel’s 30th Anniversary Birthday Celebration in none other than Brooklyn, that’s right B to the K! I must say that this was probably the best event to be at for 2008. The reason why I’m not scared to say that is because this party was thrown in 17 different countries live at the same time… The theme was the Circus meets Rock & Roll, fully equipped with popcorn, funnel cakes, hot dogs, ice cream, midgets, men on high ropes, etc. The night was also jammed packed with dope performances by Chaka Khan, T.I., N.E.R.D, Hot Chip, M.I.A & Franz Ferdinand. As a result of Viktor & Rolf’s recent acquisition by the fashion house “Only the Brave SLR”, the same company that owns Diesel, they will be unveiling their Spring 2009 collection ONLINE ONLY!
The online show depicts an actual show filmed in the Grand Salon of our virtual house. The Web presentation at Victor-Rolf.com employs the latest technologies and allows for “guests” to access the backstage area, to see hair and makeup, and to pop in on the designers for fittings.
It is AMAZING!

DIESEL XXX 30TH BIRTHDAY BASH AD

Diesel is celebrating its 30th birthday with a risqué ad that weds a montage of 1980s porn films with cartoon animations. The 120-second film has been dubbed Safe For Work XXX, a play on the commonly used warning tag used on pornographic material NSFW and the roman numeral for 30.

55DSL 10.55 T-SHIRT PROGRAM is in full effect!
Starting with their Fall/Winter ’08 collection, part of the 55DSL T-shirt offering will be dedicated to 10.55, a special new project of Tees designed by international artists that will be available at retail. Every season 55DSL selects 5 artists from different Countries and gives them total freedom to design an exclusive graphic to be printed on a T-shirt. The selected artists for F/W’08 are: Brosmind (Spain), Andrew Rementer (USA), Luke Insect (UK), Arthur King (France) and Komatsu 1000 (UK). Congrats fellas!
